We caught up with Warmduscher’s Clams Baker Jr on all the latest from the band ahead of their upcoming show at Stylus on 31 August!
Q: What can we expect from your upcoming show at Stylus?
A: Why would we want to spoil the surprise? Go to YouTube and search up Warmduscher Glastonbury if you can’t wait.
Q: What’s coming up for you in 2022?
A: Much more touring and another headline show in our hometown London (November 11 at Brixton Electric), where we will finally get to curate a gig that will go into the wee hours of the next day. First half: live music. Second half: Faboo TV performance and Sports Banger Crime Rave.
Q: What, do you feel, has been your biggest success to date?
A: Probably our gig at Blue Dot because of what we overcame to get there. Quicksand literally had to superglue a pick to his hand to play guitar and The Witherer had leg rot from the bite of the rare Croatian Tabanidae!
Q: How would you describe your music?
A: Swamp Disco.
Q: What’s your favourite single to perform and why?
A: Burner because I get to be a rapper for 3 minutes.
Q: What music are you listening to right now?
A: Working Men’s Club, black midi, Viagra Boys, and Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson.
Q: What’s next? Where do you see your music taking you?
A: Next is a new album starting in November that will most definitely take us to the shores of Asia and the hills of the USA.
Q: If you could do a collaboration with anyone, who would it be?
A: Kendrick Lamar.
Q: If you could tell your fans one thing, what would it be?
A: Thanks for riding with us and always remember to keep your teeth clean and your hair perfect! Hold tight for all kinds of things coming.
Q: Can you tell us one random fact about the band?
A: None of us speak German.
